What does social responsibility mean to you?
I am still working on an operational definition, but what I've come up with so far is this: social responsibility is a recognition that as far as we are able (and oftentimes "able" is further than we think!) we should assure that the impact our actions have on our environment and on other people -- individually and across cultures -- is fair and sustainable.
What's your favorite sustainable company today?
Ten Thousand Villages -- extending sustainaility beyond environmental areas to "fair trade."
Do you have any social responsibility goals?
To become more knowledgeable about where I can make an impact.
About Me:
I am an independent writer, researcher and social policy analyst based in the greater Chicago area. I work primarily with nonprofits and NGOs and specialize in the fields of fair housing and affordable housing; higher education for nontraditional students; and the intersection of the arts and social policy. I have a special interest in sustainable economic and community development in low income urban areas.

I have begun doing foundation research work here in Chicago, and would like to continue to combine this work with paid assignments. (If you know someone who could use a good researcher, I'm avaialble.)

I would like to begin field study in October 2008 in Vancouver, with subsequent field assignments in my hometown in the southern U.S. and Helsinki, in Fin… Continue

Audrey - Glad you touched base. Did you attend the Chicago Green Festival?
I love working for Co-op America and got connected as an individual member. I am guessing your fan since you added the Green Festival and Green Business Conference to the events calendar.
