Mosquitos Season is upon us

This time of the year people start using bug sprays and bug zappers and citronella candles to keep the mosquito's at a distance. Somewhere I read "why are mosquito's important to the biology of this planet? They did not see any reason for the to be here. I believe everything has a reason to be here but even if it didn't it's here and everything deserves to exist- doesn't give us the right to destroy it's existence just b/c we don't see a point in it living. Mosquito's are food for many other creatures bats, dragonflies, swallows, fish and many more. Bug zappers kill more than mosquito's they also kill many beneficial insects as well. Some bug sprays are chemicals and are not only harmful to the environment but ourselves as well. There are many botanical sprays that are not harmful and work just as well. There are great non chemical treatments to keep mosquito's away. Having a swallow house or a bat house will also help.
